Aurus goes eastward. Turkmenistan will purchase an entire line of Russian executive cars. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow stated that today at a meeting with Dmitry Medvedev. The Russian prime minister took part in the first Caspian Economic Forum.
Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow met the Russian prime minister at the entrance to the Avaza congress center where the representative forum was opened. They walked together to the Russian limousine Aurus. The novelty has 660 horsepower. It takes it six seconds to accelerate to 60 mph. At the same time, it has an unusual color. It's specially selected sparkling white. When Berdimuhamedow got behind the wheel, he was so impressed that he immediately turned to Prime Minister Medvedev to purchase an entire line of Aurus cars.

Of course, the countries are mutually interested not only in modern cars and not only in the Russian-Turkmen format. The five Caspian states, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Iran, are discussing the usage of the Caspian region, which is rich in oil and gas. In his speech, Medvedev listed a number of economic measures, which are supposed to enhance the effect of trade cooperation.

On the margins of the forum, the prime minister has several bilateral meetings scheduled. Medvedev discussed economic cooperation with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The Russian prime minister proposed to his Bulgarian counterpart, Boyko Borisov, to discuss the option that, as a huge Balkan hub, Bulgaria could become an entry gate for Caspian resources on the European continent. At the meeting with the vice president of Iran, Medvedev reminded about the two countries' joint projects. They have to carry them out in a complex foreign policy environment.

The exhibition of innovative technology is also a part of the forum. It demonstrates the best achievements of the Caspian states. The Russian exports pavilion is the biggest one. The products of several regions are presented there. Tatarstan is presenting its medevac and agricultural helicopters. Turkmenistan plans to purchase ten such helicopters. The delegation, headed by Acting Governor Igor Babushkin, represents Astrakhan Oblast. Astrakhan will be the capital of the second Caspian Forum.
Igor Babushkin, Acting Governor of Astrakhan Oblast: "It'll be an honor for Astrakhan Oblast that the second Caspian Forum was decided to be held in our city. Of course, we'll have to do a lot to meet the standard set here on the margins of the forum in Turkmenistan or probably exceed it".
The highlight of the Russian pavilion is another Aurus limousine. The Aurus didn't just impress the Turkmen leader but became a true hit at the innovative technology exhibition. It's presented here in convertible form. Medvedev suggested that Berdimuhamedow use this model at the parade dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan in 2021.

After Medvedev and Berdimuhamedow inspected the novelty, there was a huge queue of those who wanted to be photographed next to the limousine.
